Continue drive to Jaipur. And visit Abhaneri (95 Km from Jaipur): The small village of Abhaneri has one of India’s deepest and largest step wells (also known as tank gardens). Step wells are unique to India. They were used as cool places of resort, as pools for ritual cleansing before a temple visit and as a water supply for dry weather.

Explore the land of Maharajas – the colorful state of Rajasthan. This tour starts at Jaipur, where we will visit Amber Fort, Maharaja’s City Palace, Armoury Museum, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds. Next we will visit Bikaner which was once a major trading post between Africa, West Asia and the Far East. We will visit the Camel Breeding Farms; Junagarh Fort and the famous Mata Karni Temple at Deshnoke where rats are worshiped! We will travel to Jaisalmer – a fairy-tale town in the Thar Desert where we will explore the forts and its beautiful Jain temples. Enjoy the evening walking through the colorful bazaars. The next day we will visit the Patwaon Ki Haveli which is known for frescoes before moving to Sam Sand Dunes to witness sunset.

From Jaisalmer we will travel to the 15th century city of Jodhpur, which stands at the edge of Thar Desert and is famous as Blue City. We will visit Meherangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Sadar Bazaar and Clock Tower markets. On our way to Mount Abu we will visit the Ranakpur Jain temples which are hidden in the dense forests of the Aravalli hills.

At Mount Abu we will explore the Dilwara Temples built in 1031 AD, and visit Nakki Lake which is an artificial lake built at a height of 1200 Mts! We will drive through valleys of the remote and peaceful Aravalli Range to Udaipur which is known as City of Sunrise, and enjoy a leisure boat ride on Lake Pichola, visit City Palace which was built in 1725 and the beautiful Jagdish Temple built in 1651 by Maharaja Jagat Singh.

Later we will visit Sahelion Ki Bari, Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum which has an attractive collection of folk dresses, puppets, ornaments, dolls, masks, folk musical instruments, folk deities and paintings, and visit to Eklingji & Nagda Temples on the bank of Lake Bageela. The next day we will drive to Ranthambhore, En route visit the Chittorgarh Fort and later enjoy an Early Morning Game Drive through Ranthambhore National Park in search of the ever elusive Tiger.

DAY 01 Arrival at Delhi – Arrival at Delhi Airport. We will start our journey by cab to Jaipur and transfer to hotel. Jaipur, widely known as the ‘Pink City was colored in pink to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria of England who visited India in 1883 A.D. The city was founded in 1727 A.D by one of the greatest ruler Jai Singh II. Jaipur is surrounded by hills on three sides and crowned by formidable forts and majestic palaces, mansions and gardens.

Jaipur is the only city in the world, which is sub-divided into nine rectangular sectors symbolizing nine divisions of universe. Also, Jaipur is the first planned city designed in accordance with ‘Shilpa Shastra’- epochal treatise of Hindu architecture.

Evening, Rest of the day is at leisure, free for independent activities. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 02 JAIPUR – Morning: enjoy your breakfast at the hotel; later proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort, here you will enjoy the Elephant Ride to reach atop of the palace (Subject to Availability and optional) this journey on embellished elephants is bound to enrich your memories with the Royal lifestyle of the Maharajas and leave you with a truly unforgettable experience. Continue your journey: with the city tour of Jaipur- visiting Maharaja’s City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it is now converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. One of the major attractions of the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum, housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers.

Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world, having 17 large instruments; many of them are still in working condition. During the tour you will also have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds.

DAY 03 JAIPUR – BIKANER (350KMS) – Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the hotel, check out and proceed and drive to Bikaner. Bikaner which was once a major trading post between Africa, West Asia and the Far East. The arts prospered receiving the patronage of a wealthy merchant community. The city is renowned for the best riding camels in the world.

This after noon you will visit Camel Breeding Farms; Junagarh Fort, a formidable structure encircled by a moat and having some beautiful palaces within.  Situated at a height of above seven hundred feet above sea level, it towers over the city and can be seen from a distance. The fort and its palaces are profusely decorated with magnificent stone carvings.

30 kms south of Bikaner is the village of Deshnoke, where the famous Mata Karni Temple is situated. The 600-year-old temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple plays host to thousands of rats that form the major attraction here. The rats are considered sacred and worshipped accordingly. You have to be very careful while entering the inner sanctum, because it is believed that if you accidentally step on a rat, a gold replica has to be made to compensate for the lost life.

DAY 04 BIKANER – JAISALMER (350KMS) – Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the hotel, check out and proceed and drive to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer – a fairy-tale town in the Thar Desert founded about 800 years ago by Raja Jaisal. Unlike any other city, this desert fortress is one of Rajasthan’s most exotic and unusual towns. Jaisalmer, an important ancient trading centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes, is often described as the ‘golden city’.

The havelis, built by merchants of the 19th century, are exquisitely carved from golden-yellow sandstone and are still in a beautiful condition. The fort built by Rawal Jaisal in the 12th century, stands on the 80 meter high Trikuta hill, with beautifully carved Jain temples.

The annual desert festival takes place in January and February each year and is a riot of color and activity. Jaisalmer is also famous for its embroidery, Rajasthani mirror work, rugs, blankets, antique and stonework and the sand dune desert camel safaris.

DAY 05 IN JAISALMER  – Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the hotel; proceed for the city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the famous Haveli’ (mansions) known for their frescoes. Jaisalmer’s strategic position on the camel terrain route brought great wealth.

The merchants grew prosperous and commissioned great havelis, or mansions, to flaunt their ever-growing status in society. Made of local golden-yellow sand stone and wood, some of the havelis are still in excellent condition. The most elaborate and magnificent of all the Jaisalmer havelis is the Patwaon Ki Haveli.

Five Jain brothers built the Haveli between 1800 and 1860. Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli are the other two havelis that are open to visitors.  Built in 1156 by the Bhatti ruler, Jaisal, THE FORT here stands atop the 80 m high Trikuta hill and 3 walls and 99 bastions surround the fort.

Over the centuries, the golden sand stone fortress witnessed many battles between the Bhattis, the Mughals and the Rathors of Jodhpur.   Within the fort complex lie the beautifully carved Jain Temples built between the 12th and 15th centuries. The Maharawals (rulers) of Jaisalmer were devout Hindus but were tolerant of Jainism, and encouraged art and religion. There are 7 temples in the complex.

In the evening, proceed for the excursion to Sam Sand dunes. Located at a distance of 42 kilometers from Jaisalmer, Sam Sand Dunes is the closest point to witness the total sandy desert. You can also see the patterns and motifs created by the shifting sands and air. Moreover, Sam Sand Dunes also provide you with an unforgettable experience of camel rides and the sunset. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 06 JAISALMER– JODHPUR (300 KMS) – Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the hotel, check out and proceed and drive to Jodhpur. The 15th century city of Jodhpur, stands at the edge of Thar Desert and is the largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. Jodhpur is a resplendent city, with a blend of modern and traditional buildings.

The city is totally dominated by a massive fort sprawled across 125- meter high hill known as Meherangarh Fort, founded by Rao Jodha in 15th century. A flourishing trade center in the 16th century, Jodhpur is still one of the leading centers of wool, cattle, camels, salt and agricultural crops. It boasts of some of very fine reminders of its glorious past palaces, temples and other elegant monuments of architectural and historical significance.

Also Jodhpur is popularly known as the ‘Blue City’ because of the beautiful houses painted with indigo color mostly belonging to the Brahmin caste. You can get a magnificent view of this Blue city from the ramparts of the Meherangarh Fort. Visit the Meherangarh Fort, which was impregnable for the rocky base it is built on. It totally dominates the city and within its walls are the royal palaces, priceless jewels and a striking collection of arms. Also visit Jaswant Thada, the white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built in 1899.

Also visit Sadar Bazaar and Clock Tower markets where you can see the vegetable, spice, Indian sweets, and textile and silver markets. These colorful markets with tiny shops dot the narrow lanes replete with woodcarvings, wrought iron, lacquer work, silver and ivory ornamentation and leather handicrafts.

DAY 07 JODHPUR– RANAKPUR – UDAIPUR (260 KMS) – Enjoy your breakfast in morning at the hotel, check out and proceed and drive to Udaipur. You’ll drive through valleys in the remote and peaceful Aravalli Range. The Aravalli Hills of Rajasthan have a range of natural and cultural bounties which makes it an excellent destination.En route you will visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple.

The Ranakpur Jain temples are hidden in the dense forests of the Aravalli hills in a peaceful setting and are one of the five holy Jain pilgrimages and they were built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch RanaKumbha in the 15th century. An enormous basement covers 48,000 sq. feet area. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns. The total number of columns is 1,444 all of which are intricately carved with no two being alike. The artistically carved nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are an engrossing sight. In the assembly hall, there are two big bells weighing 108 Kg and their sound echoes in the entire complex.

After lunch drive to Udaipur. Also known as the “City of Sunrise”, Udaipur is set along the banks of the shimmering lake Pichola and is one of the most romantic cities of Rajasthan. Nestled among the lush hills of the Aravali, it has inevitably been dubbed the ‘Venice of the East’. It is a kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carries the flavor of the heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Udaipur was founded in 1568 A.D. by MaharanaUdai Singh; the city is a harmonious Indian blend of whitewashed buildings, marble palaces, lakeside gardens, temples and havelis.

In the evening you will enjoy a leisure boat ride on Lake Pichola. The beautiful stretch of water surrounding the two marvelous structures the Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir is the life line of Udaipur city. Lake Pichola is about 4 kms in length and 3 kms wide. Jagniwas was earlier the summer retreat of the prince of Mewar and is now a five-star Hotel Lake Palace. All the palaces in the city are constructed to have a magnificent reflection in this lake. This lake was created in the 15th century and widened later.

The lake is surrounded by many exquisite palaces, temples, hilly terrains, bathing ghats and many gardens. The city palace extends along the eastern shore of the lake and you can go for a boat ride from BansiGhat. (Subject to water level in the lake). Overnight stay at your hotel.

During the tour you will visit the City Palace built in 1725, the grand City Palace is actually a conglomerate of eleven palaces overlooking the sprawling Lake Pichola. One of the largest, most beautiful palaces in the state of Rajasthan, it is now a museum, royal residence and a luxury hotel. This intricately designed monument is an architectural wonder in granite and marble; Jagdish Temple built in 1651 by Maharaja Jagat Singh, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located in the centre of the old city.

The temple has a black marble image of Lord Vishnu, which is unusual for the northern part of the country, where statues of Gods are normally in marble. Later visit Sahelion Ki Bari that is a small ornamental garden built in the honor of Royal Ladies for recreational purpose. Next is the visit to Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum. Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir is home to an attractive collection of folk dresses, puppets, ornaments, dolls, masks, folk musical instruments, folk deities and paintings. The museum is the best place for those interested in puppetry. Short amusing puppet shows are staged throughout the day. In addition, the museum runs short courses in puppet making and theatre.

The Udaipur trip will be followed by visit to Eklingji & Nagda Temples – built in white marble with a double storied porch on the bank of Lake Bageela – 22 kms from Udaipur. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 09 UDAIPUR-CHITTORGARH-BUNDI (270 KMS) – Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the hotel, check out and proceed and drive to Bundi. En route visit the Chittorgarh Fort which is a huge and colossal structure. The entrance to the fort is provided through seven gates with the main gate, Ram Pol (gate of Ram). As per the legend, Bhim, a Pandava, started the construction of the fort. There are a number of magnificent monuments inside the fort. Tour must include RanaKumbha Palace, the most imposing monument in the Chittorgarh Fort. Rich heritage and architecture define this palace. It is believed that the palace has underground basements where Rani Padmini and other women performed Johar.

DAY 10 BUNDI – RANTHAMBORE (145 KMS)

(PARK CLOSED FROM 01 JULY TO 30 SEPT)

After breakfast, visit the Taragah Fort and Chitrashala.Later you will drive to Ranthambore National Park. The Park covers a huge area of 400 kms of dry deciduous forest and has three lakes – Rajbaug, Padam and Malik and the fort at the entrance. The town gets its name from two hill ranges, “Ranas” and “Thambore” which meet there.

The main tourists’ attraction here is the royal Bengal tiger. The area of Ranthambhore Park hosts 30-32 tigers, showing a healthy ecosystem. For a relatively small area, the park has a rich diversity of fauna and flora – species list includes 300 trees, 50 aquatic plants, and 272 birds, 12 reptiles including the Marsh Crocodile & amphibians and 30 mammals.

It includes around a thousand chitals, 800 neelgais, a rattle and a sloth bear, many sambars, few chinkaras, blackbuck and many crocodiles & python. It houses birds like cormorants, miniwets, darters, drongos lapwings, anoles, cormorants, kingfishers, stone curlews and eagles & thousands of peacocks and peahens. The landscape is dotted with ancient Banyan Trees, Dhok&Pipal trees. The forest is typically dry deciduous type, with Dhok, being the most prominent tree.Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 11 – RANTHAMBHORE

This tour starts at Delhi and includes Delhi Sightseeing, visit to Agra where you will see the famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri on the way to Jaipur. At Jaipur, visit the forts, palace, museum and the enchanting bazaars before moving to Jodhpur which was founded in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha, where we will explore Mehrangarh Fort and visit Jaswant Thada. From Jodhpur we will travel to Ranakpur famous for 15th Century Ranakpur Jain Temples dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhji with 29 halls and 1,444 intricately crafted pillars in Amber stone.

Our next stop will be Udaipur which is known as the Venice of the East and is truly a romantic city with its lakes, gardens and temples. DAY 02 : DELHI – After breakfast, enjoy the sightseeing of Delhi.

Drive past Red Fort (Closed on Mondays) the 17th century imposing fortress built in red sandstone is surrounded by a huge 33m high boundary wall. Inside are exquisite palaces and beautiful gardens.

Opposite the Red Fort lies Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) made of red sandstone and white marble, completed in 1656 at a cost of one million Rupees has perfect proportions. Jama Masjid is India’s largest mosque where more than 20.000 people can kneel in prayer. The interior of the prayer hall is divided into aisles by arches. The walls and floors are of marble inlay panels.

Also visit the Raj Ghat on the banks of the river Yamuna, Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial, where he was cremated following his assassination in January 1948. The memorial lies in the midst of landscaped gardens and made of a simple square platform of black marble inscribed with his last words “Hey Ram”. An eternal flame burns 24 hours.

You will drive Past Rashtrapati Bhawan once the Viceroy’s residence is now the official residence of the President of India.

Photo stop at India Gate Built of Bharatpur stone, commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. 13516 names of British and Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan War of 1919 are engraved on the arch and foundations.

Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, built by his wife Haji Begum in the 16th. Century. An early example of Mughal architecture considered the predecessor of the Taj Mahal.

DAY 0 3: DELHI / AGRA (Approx. 206 Kms – 5 hrs drive)

After leisurely breakfast drive to Agra. On the way visit Sikandra.

Sikandra: The mausoleum of the great Mughal King Akbar (1556-1605). Akbar began building it during his lifetime and his son, the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, completed it. It has a large arched entrance and green lawns, on which deer can be seen grazing, surround the tomb.

DAY 05 : AGRA / FATEHPUR SIKRI / JAIPUR (Approx. 232 Kms / 05 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Jaipur. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri. It is a beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. The Mughals later abandoned this city for lack of water.

After sightseeing drive to Jaipur. Maharaja Jai Singh II built Jaipur in the 18th century. It is a planned city built with ancient Hindu rules as the colonial capital of a richly colorful state. The whole city was painted pink to welcome the visit of Prince Albert in 1853.

DAY 06 : JAIPUR – After breakfast, half-day excursion trip takes you to Amber Fort with Elephant or Jeep ride. The Amber Fort was built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. It gives extensive views over a deep narrow valley and the wider plains beyond.

En route, make a photo stop at the palace of winds the Hawa Mahal. A 5 storied building with 25cm thick facade from the 18 century having 953 windows and niches so that ladies of royal family could see the procession and events in the city without being visible to the people.

In the afternoon, visit City Palace. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Among the various forts and palaces of Jaipur, City Palace stands apart, with its outstanding art and architecture. City Palace complex covers a huge area, which is divided into a series of gardens, courtyards and buildings. The premises consists several buildings like Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Mukut Mahal, Maharani’s Palace, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

Also visit Jantar Mantar (1728-34) by king astrologer Jai Singh II. The instruments are built of stone with marble facing on the important plains for measuring the harmony of the heavens.

DAY 07 : JAIPUR / JODHPUR (Approx. 332 Kms – 07 hrs) – After breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Set on the edge of the Thar desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama the epic hero of the Ramayana.

DAY 08 : JODHPUR – After breakfast enjoy the sightseeing of Jodhpur.

Visit Mehrangarh Fort, which was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. It has various pavillions beautifully decorated and at times filled like museums with the old royal artifacts. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city. You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses – the colour being associated with the high caste.

Also visit Jaswant Thada. It is a white marble memorial built by Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The monument, in its entirety, is built out of intricately carved sheets of marble. These stones are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when the sun’s rays dance across their surface.

DAY 09 : JODHPUR / RANAKPUR ( Approx.169 Kms – 3 ½ hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Ranakpur. On arrival, visit the Ranakpur Jain Temples. Renowned for some marvelously carved Jain temples in amber stones, Ranakpur is one of the five holy places of the Jain community. These temples were created in the 15th century A.D. during the reign of Rana Kumbha and are enclosed within a wall. The central ‘Chaumukha’ or four-faced temple is dedicated to the venerated Tirthankara Rishabhji. Open on all four sides, it enshrines the four-faced image of Adinath. Sprawling over 48,000 sq.feet, the temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars – all distinctly carved.

Images of 24 tirthankars are carved on the ‘Mandaps’ or porticoes in a corridor around the shrine with each mandap having a ‘Shikhar’ or spire adorned with little bells on the top. The gentle breeze wafting through the corridors move the bells creating celestial music all around the complex. Rising in three stories, the temple has four small shrines with 80 spires supported by 420 columns.

DAY 10 : RANAKPUR / UDAIPUR (Approx. 90 Kms – 02 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. Udaipur is known as the Venice of the East. It has to its credit some beautiful temples and gardens. It lies in the Girwa Valley amidst the Aravali hills of South Rajasthan. The City is considered a Romantic city with its lakes, gardens, temples and –an Oasis in the Thar Desert. Arrive Udaipur and transfer to the Hotel.

Later visit enjoy Boat ride on Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola derives its name from Pichola Village. Maharana Udai Singh enlarged the lake after he founded the city of Udaipur. City Palace:One of the largest royal complexes in Rajasthan, the City Palace stands majestically on a promontory on the picturesque Lake Pichola. The complex boasts 11 constituent Mahals (palaces), with balconies, towers and cupolas, offering a breathtaking view of the lake and its surroundings. The Durbar Hall, which was used as a venue for formal occasions like state banquets and meetings, has most luxurious interiors highlighted by some of the largest chandeliers in the world. Sahelion ki Bari:The Sahelion-ki-Bari Garden was built in early 18th century AD as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. After breakfast drive to Jaipur.

Ranthambore is one of the finest tiger reserves in India nestled in the Aravallis it is home to a variety of flora and fauna. The park along with the contiguous regions of Kela Devi and Sawai Man Singh parks forms a good biosphere along the Chambal River, which separates it from Madhya Pradesh.

Day 06: Ranthambore         

Early morning enjoy game drive in the park

Return to the hotel for breakfast.  Ranthambore is a dry deciduous forest replete with several lakes, rivulets and a magnificent ancient fort overlooking the park. The wildlife that one can see here are a large variety of birds, including an impressive number of waterfowl and birds of prey.

Day 07: Ranthambore / Bharatpur (240 Kms – 5 ½ Hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur.

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary or Keoladeo Ghana National Park, which was established in 1956. This 29 sq km marshland is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world with over 360 species of birds, out of which 117 are the local birds. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, it used to be a part of the private shooting reserve of the Maharaja of Bharatpur.

Among many bird species to be seen are egrets, storks, ducks, Chinese coots, kingfishers, spoonbills, sarus cranes and several birds of prey, including falcon, marsh harrier and eagle. Alone 80 species of ducks can be spotted here. There are also chital, Nilgai, deer, wild cats, hyenas and wild boar whilst near the entrance there are usually some very large rock pythons.

During November to February the northern hemisphere migratory birds visit the park from China, Europe and Siberia, including the rare Siberian Crane.

Day 08: Bharatpur / Chambal  (125 Kms – 2 ½ Hrs drive)

Later drive to Chambal, on the way visit Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. The complex consists of religious, residential and administrative buildings. The Mosque is considered a copy for the Mosque at Mecca and is extremely elegant, containing elements of Hindu and Persian design.  Housed here is the Shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti one of the greatest of Sufi saints of the Muslim world.

Day 09: Chambal  

After breakfast, enjoy the River Safari. The calm and gentle waters of the Chambal River are best explored on boats and the River Safari provides spectacular opportunities to view the wildlife. The Chambal Safari boatmen are exceptionally skilled at cutting the boat engines, and maneuvering as close to the birds and animals as possible without disturbing them. Trained naturalists accompany visitors and provide expert information on the Chambal wildlife. The River Safari is a most relaxing, enjoyable and special experience.

Afternoon  enjoy the trip to Bateshwar Temples.

The ancient temple complex at Bateshwar on the river Yamuna, 10 km from the Chambal Safari Lodge, consists of more than a hundred temples dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. Referred to as Surajpur in ancient texts, Bateshwar derives its current name from its reigning deity Lord Bateshwar Mahadev (another name for Shiva).

Day 10:  Chambal / Agra   (70 Kms – 1 ½ Hrs drive)

After breakfast drive to Agra.

Agra stands on the right bank of the river Yamuna, was once the seat of the Mughal rulers, the zenith of art and an enshrined romance. A town famous for its beautiful medieval monuments. The passion of the Mughals for building endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world.

Later visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays) – A poignant poetry in marble, stands serene and the most extravagant monument ever built for love is a tribute to the timelessness of art and love. The inimitable poem in white marble, one of the seven modern wonders of the world, the finest expression of love of Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz who died giving birth to their 14th child, is located on the banks of the Yamuna river here. The construction of the Taj had commenced in 1631AD and had ended in 1653AD. Workers were gathered from all over the country and from central Asia. About 20,000 people were recruited to translate this dream into reality. The main architect was Isa Khan who was brought from Iran.

Later visit Agra Fort, -Built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings, including the Moti Masjid, Diwane-I-Am, Diwane-I-Khas and Musamman Burj, where the Emperor Shah Jahan died in imprisonment, besides Jahangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal.

Day 11: Agra – Delhi (203 Kms – 5 Hrs drive)

After leisurely breakfast drive to Delhi, on the way visit Sikandra.

Sikandra: The mausoleum of the great Mughal King Akbar (1556-1605). Akbar began building it during his lifetime and his son, the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, completed it. It has a large arched entrance and green lawns, on which deer can be seen grazing, surround the tomb.

This tour starts at Delhi, includes Delhi Sightseeing and takes you to Pushkar, a spiritual destination, where we will visit the Brahma Temple, Pushkar Lake, Man Mahal and Savitri temple before visiting the famous Shrine of Salim Chisti at Ajmer City. Next we will drive to Jojawar and enjoy Horse Ride, enjoy the Rajasthani dinner, dance and music. We will safari in the Thar Desert and visit local weavers & the potters and visit famous Osian Temples on your way to nature resort in Sodakore where we will go for village safaris, meet the people and get to know about their lives.

From Sodakore we travel to Jaisalmer, explore Jaisalmer fort, Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli and Salim singh ki Haveli before moving to Sam sand dunes where we will enjoy dance, music, cocktails and dinner. Our next stop will be Bikaner on the way to Mandawa. Day 1: Welcome to Delhi

Welcome to the political and Cultural Capital of India – Delhi. Traditional welcome at the airport by our representative and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Pushkar (390 km from Delhi, 07 hrs drive)

After a early breakfast proceed half day sightseeing tour of Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British Empire. Visit the India Gate and the grand Government buildings, the President’s House, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial and also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple 11th century Qutab Minar.

After lunch we leave for Pushkar. On arrival check in to the hotel and freshen up. An interesting dinner under the stars with the Rajasthani cultural folk music and dances awaits you. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3: Pushkar

After breakfast, go for a full day sightseeing and visit the Brahma temple (said to be one of the few temples in the world dedicated to this deity) Pushkar Lake, Man Mahal and Savitri temple in Pushkar. Also visit the famous Dargah Sharif at Ajmer. Relax at the resort after a full day of sightseeing and shopping. Overnight at the resort in Pushkar.

Day 4: Pushkar – Jojawar (160 km from Pushkar, 3½ hrs drive)

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and enjoy a beautiful drive to Jojawar. Check in to the hotel and lunch at the hotel. After lunch we proceed for an amazing insight into the village life and its surroundings on the back of the famous Marwari Horses. Return back well in time to enjoy the Rajasthani dinner, dance and music, a perfect end to a lovely day. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5: Jojawar

A very exciting day awaits you; after breakfast we start the day with train Safari which is one of the major attractions at Jojawar. The train safari takes you through the beautiful & scenic Aravallis passing through tunnels and bridges overlooking the dazzling lake and the forest around it. This gives a good insight into the local tribal life.

The train journey will be followed by the Jeep safari organized to the neighboring tribal and Rebari settlements where one could interact and peep into the rich rural culture of Rajasthan and later visit a famous tribal horse lord temple where high tea is served just around sunset. Enthusiasts could also opt for four wheel driving. A real exciting day comes to an end and we look forward to a beautiful dinner under the stars.

Day 6: Jojawar – Udaipur (150 km from Jojawar, 3hrs drive)

After breakfast we drive to Udaipur, the city of lakes. The city was built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot in the continent of India. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. We will also visit the Shilpgram, a tribute to the Rajasthani rural life and the craftsmen.

Day 7: Udaipur – Jodhpur (185 kms from Udaipur, 4-5 hrs drive)

After breakfast proceed by road to Jodhpur. Enroute visit the Ranakpur Jain Temples. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple, and for a much older Sun Temple which lies opposite the former. In general, the Jain temples of Ranakpur present a distinct style of their own. Arrival in Jodhpur and visit the Umaid Bhavan Palace Museum. Evening at leisure and over night stay in Jodhpur.

Day 8: Jodhpur – Dabdi (70 kms from Jodhpur, 1½ hrs drive)

Check out of the hotel after an early morning breakfast and start the day with the morning sight seeing of Jodhpur which includes the massive Mehrangarh fort (This massive Mehrangarh fort came first and around it grew the city of Jodhpur protected by a high stone wall with seven gates and countless bastions) enroute Osian.

On arrival at the resort we begin our adventure of the camel safari. Packed lunch will be served in the afternoon arrival at village Bikamkor with a packed lunch. On arrival you will be met by our Safari staff and Camel riders. Then start your Camel Safari for village Dabdi, a two hour ride. Just before sunset, arrive at your exclusive mobile safari camp. Enjoy an evening under the stars followed by a candlelit dinner. Over night at the Dabdi dunes. Distance covered-9 kms.

Day 9: Dabdi – Osian

After breakfast we will start our safari through the Thar Desert. After a four hour ride we approach the oasis village ‘Khetasar’ where we visit the local weavers and the potters. Here lunch will be served by the oasis or at a village hut.

After lunch resume the safari for the resort covering a total distance of 25 Km. Alternatively for those not wanting to proceed to the resort by camel, Jeeps will be waiting to take you to the resort and there the afternoon can be spent enjoying the swimming pool located on the highest sand-dune. Evening folk entertainment followed by dinner. Overnight at the resort in Osian.

Day 10 : Osian – Sodakore (200 kms from Osian, 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast take a short tour of the famous Osian Temples and then proceed to Sodakore. Osian temple is a cluster of ruined Brahmanical and Jain temples dating from the 8th to 11th  centuries.

Arrival at the nature resort in Sodakore which offers Organic food, farm fresh dairy and poultry products. In the evening enjoy the village safaris interacting with the vibrant village community and a walk around the Amla Orchard.

Day 11 : Sodakore – Jaisalmer – Sam (110 kms from Sodakore, 3 hrs drive)

Check out of the resort after breakfast and proceed for sightseeing of Jaisalmer which includes the golden-hued Jaisalmer fort, Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Salim singh ki Haveli. After sightseeing of Jaisalmer proceed for the Sam Sand Dunes, the perfect place to enjoy & experience a desert life.

Day 12 : Sam – Bikaner (380 kms from Jaisalmer, 6-7 hrs drive)

After breakfast proceed by road to Bikaner enjoying the small villages and rural sights of Rajasthan with its sand dunes. Over night stay in Bikaner.

Day 13 : Bikaner – Mandawa (190 km from Bikaner, 4hrs drive)

After breakfast visit the Junagarh Fort, constructed between 1588-1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Mughal Emperor Akbar’s army followed by the Karnimata Temple at Deshnok; famous as the rat temple. Also visit the prestigious camel breeding farm in the evening around 1530hrs and proceed to Mandawa, a small and bustling town in the Shekhawati region lying north of Jaipur. Its importance lies in the splendidly frescoed havelis or mansions – mostly constructed by the prosperous merchants, between the 18th and 20th centuries.

Day 4 : Jaipur/Ranthambore (Approx. 157 Kms. – 3 hrs.) 
Morning drive to Ranthambore. The Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary is one of the fine examples of the “Project Tiger” conservation efforts. Nestled in the Aravali hills, amidst the arid plains and rugged tracts of the royal state of Rajasthan, lies Ranthambore National Park, a haven for the adventure seeker and the wildlife watcher. In the 13th century A.D. Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagabhatta, beautified the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain.

In the middle of the 15th century A.D. Rana Kumbha captured the fort and gifted it to his son to be occupied later by the Hada Rajputs of Bundi and Mughal Emperors Akbar and Aurangazeb. Mughal Emperor Shah Alam gifted it to Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur in 1754 and since then it was maintained as the hunting preserve of the Maharaja. Day 8 : Agra-Gwalior-Orchha
Morning drive to Orchha enroute stops at Gwalior. Visit the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal (today an archaeological museum), The fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. Day 01 : Arrive Amritsar

Day 02 : Amritsar

Day 04 : Agra
