Nestled in the Aravali hills, amidst the arid plains and rugged tracts of the royal state of Rajasthan, lies Ranthambore National Park, a haven for the adventure seeker and the wildlife watcher. In the 13th century A.D. Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagabhatta, beautified the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain.

In the middle of the 15th century A.D. Rana Kumbha captured the fort and gifted it to his son to be occupied later by the Hada Rajputs of Bundi and Mughal Emperors Akbar and Aurangazeb. Mughal Emperor Shah Alam gifted it to Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur in 1754 and since then it was maintained as the hunting preserve of the Maharaja. Day1 – Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel.

Day2 – Delhi
After breakfast, tour the historic city of old Delhi to include the magnificent Red Fort, Jama Masjid largest mosque in Asia, both built by Shahjahan, Rajghat – memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the “Father of the Nation”. Afternoon, tour of New Delhi to include Humanyun Tomb, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Birla Mandir, Bahai Temple. Evening visit Son-et-Lumiere at Red Fort. Overnight at hotel.

Day3 – Sariska
Leave Delhi after breakfast reaching Sariska (239 km/5 hrs) by lunch. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon jungle drive, place is well known for Sambars, Cheetals, Blue bulls, Spotted deers, Wild boards in addition to Tigers & Leopards. Sariska is set in the rugged Aravali Hills – one of the old mountain ranges Overnight at hotel.

Day5 – Sariska – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur (111 kms / 3hrs). Enroute visit Amber Fort, once the capital of Kachwahas before they moved to their newly built capital in Jaipur. This is the only fort where still one can go by the elephant back even today like a Maharaja. Overnight in hotel.

Day6 – Jaipur
Morning after breakfast, tour of the city including City Place, Hawa Mahal. Astronomical Observatory and drive by the Pink City bazaars. Afternoon, drive to Ranthambhore (160 kms/3 hrs &30 mins). Overnight at hotel.

Day7 – Ranthambhore
At Ranthambhore – jeep safari to the jungle. Overnight at hotel.

Day8 – Ranthambhore – Bharatpur
Drive to Bharatpur for Keoladeo national Park known for the migratory birds even as far as from Siberia. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening cycle rickshaw tour of the sanctuary and see the birds including the rare Siberian cranes. Overnight at hotel.

Day9 – Bharatpur
Morning, visit the sanctuary and see birds. After late breakfast drive to Fatehpur Sikri, (25 kms/45 mins) the deserted capital built by Akbar which was abandoned due to lack of water. See Darbar-e-Aam, Palaces Panch Mahal and Tansen Seat etc. Late afternoon visit Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. Overnight at Hotel.

Khajurao Day10 – Agra – Khajuraho
Morning visit Taj Mahal to see it in different light. Catch afternoon flight to Khajuraho and transfer to hotel. Evening tour of Chandela dynasty temples famous for their spectacular sculptures and erotic carvings. Overnight at hotel.

Day11 – Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh
Drive to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (270 kms/6 hrs). On arrival transfer to the hotel – The Jungle Lodge. Evening visit Park and jeep safari. Overnight at hotel.

Day12 – Bandhavgarh
At Bandhavgarh – jungle exploration on elephant back. Overnight at hotel.

Day13 – Flight to Delhi
