Day – 01 Arrive Delhi

Day – 02 Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel proceed for full day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Delhi, capital city of the Federal Republic of India. It is one of India’s fastest growing cities. It has sprawled over the West Bank of the river Yamuna, straddling the river. The city has two distinct parts, Old Delhi & New Delhi. Old Delhi is centered on the Red Fort built by Emperor Shah Jehan between 1636 & 1658. Day – 03 Delhi/Samode/Jaipur (265 kms/6 hrs. drive)

Morning drive to Jaipur enroute visit Samode Palace. Samode is a beautiful little town in Rajasthan, an essential part of your Rajputana Splendor itinerary. Samode travel can involve journey by rail, road or air. The beautiful town of Samode is located 42 kms North West of Jaipur. Samode is renowned for its magnificent Samode Palace, which was built by the Maharaja of Jaipur Jai Singh II’s Finance Minister. The palace is renowned for its Shekhawati style paintings. The paintings of Dewan – I – Khas too are marvelous. On arrival check in at Jaipur hotel. Evening short tour of local bazzar. Overnight at hotel.

Day – 04 Jaipur

Morning excursion trip to Amber Fort and enjoy elephant ride to ascend the hill top fort. After Amber Fort visit an architectural marvel, City Palace is a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal art and architecture and a must see on your tours to Jaipur. The palace also houses a museum with a rich collection of miniature paintings, royal paraphernalia, Rajasthani costumes etc. Largest stone observatory of the world, Jantar Mantar built by Sawai Jai Singh is another major tourist attraction of the place. Day – 05 Jaipur/Fatehpur Sikri/Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri name of the place came after Mughal Emperor Babur defeated Rana Sanga in a battle at a place called Khanwa (about 40 KM from Agra). Then Mughal Emperor Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters. So he built this majestic fort. After noon visit Agra Fort and and Taj Mahal .Overnight stay at hotel.

Day Day – 06 Agra/Jhansi/Khajuraho

Transfer to Railway Station to connect train (Shatabdi Express) for Jhansi.
Dep: Agra 0815 Hours
Arr: Jhansi 1040 Hours
Assistance at the railway station and proceed to Khajuraho. Afternoon visit Khajuraho Temples. Evening Indian Dances Show (optional). Overnight stay at hotel in Khajuraho.

Day – 07 Khajuraho/Orchha/Gwalior

Morning drive to Gwalior enroute visit Orchha and continue to drive Gwalior and check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day – 08 Gwalior/Delhi

Morning half day sightseeing tour of Gwalior. Visit Gwalior Fort and Jai Vilas Palace. Rest of the day free. Evening transfer to railway station to connect train for Delhi.

Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi  
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and escorted to the hotel for check-in. After Lunch, You may also go for half day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2 : Delhi to Jaipur (290 Kms – 6 hrs )
After breakfast, travel to Jaipur by road. Upon arrival, you will be met a Smile India Tour representative and escorted to the hotel.
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan and is always at its exuberant best in terms of color, dance, and song with the traditional arts and crafts.. After check-in tour of Jaipur start. Jaipur – the capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honor of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja’s City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 3 : Jaipur  
After breakfast start another 4 hour guided tour of Jaipur, beginning with an excursion to the city including ride on a painted elephant to the magnificent fortress-palace at Amber. Once the royal capital, the fort is a fine example of the blending of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : Jaipur/Ranthambore (Approx. 157 Kms. – 3 hrs.) 
Morning drive to Ranthambore. The Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary is one of the fine examples of the “Project Tiger” conservation efforts. Nestled in the Aravali hills, amidst the arid plains and rugged tracts of the royal state of Rajasthan, lies Ranthambore National Park, a haven for the adventure seeker and the wildlife watcher. In the 13th century A.D. Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagabhatta, beautified the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain.

In the middle of the 15th century A.D. Rana Kumbha captured the fort and gifted it to his son to be occupied later by the Hada Rajputs of Bundi and Mughal Emperors Akbar and Aurangazeb. Mughal Emperor Shah Alam gifted it to Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur in 1754 and since then it was maintained as the hunting preserve of the Maharaja. Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh were part of the royal hunting who stayed here.You will be accompanied by a naturalist into the Park for evening safari. On arrival check in at hotel.

Day 5 : Ranthambore
National park Timings Morning (0630hrs. – 0930 hrs.)
Evening (1430 hrs. – 1730 hrs.)

Day 6 : Ranthambore /Bharatpur (Appx. 150 kms. – 4 hrs.)
(Keoladeo National Park open at 0630 hrs. till 1800 hrs.)
Morning drive to Bharatpur. Bharatpur is home to India’s most famous bird sanctuary. A total of 400 species of birds have been recorded, most famous of which is the Siberian Crane. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 : Bharatpur – Agra (60 kms – 2 hrs)
Early Morning visit the bird sanctuary. After B.fast drive to Agra.This morning full-day city tour of Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Itamad Ud Daula’s tomb. Proceed to the Agra Fort (also called Red Fort), noted for its fine views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River. Then move on to the Taj Mahal, the single most important sight a visitor to India can see. The most extravagant monument ever built for love, Taj was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal.

The Itamad Ud Daula’s tomb was built by Empress Noor Jahan, consort of Jehangir, in memory of her father, Ghiyas Beg, also the Chief Minister in the Court of Mughal Emperor Jehangir. The monument is beautifully conceived in white marble, mosaic, and lattice. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 : Agra-Gwalior-Orchha
Morning drive to Orchha enroute stops at Gwalior. Visit the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal (today an archaeological museum), The fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. Afternoon continue to drive Orchha. Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Orchha’s grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time & a rich legacy to the ages. For, on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly: the palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine glory. Jahangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris has a spectacular view of soaring temple spires & cenotaphs. Overnight Orchha.

Day 9 : Orchha / Khajuraho 
After taking breakfast, transfer to Khajuraho by surface, the cultural and political capital of the Chandela Rajputs dynasty, which flourished between the 9th and the 13th centuries. The erotic sculptures of the Khajuraho temples are famous in the world. Embracing couples, dancers, musicians and provocative maidens adorn these temples, which have been masterpieces of Indian Art. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 : Khajuraho/ Bandhavgarh
Early morning drive to Bandhavgarh. Situated at the foothills of the Vidhya ranges, Bandhavgarh National Park is the habitat of tiger, spotted deer, barking deer, sambar, chausingha, nilgai, guar, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bear, jackal, leopard, and a wide variety of bird life. If you are granted permission by the Rewa’s royal family, you can visit the fort. The wonderful carvings in the fort and the fabulous view from the top cannot be described only experienced. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 11 : Bandhavgarh
Have a full day of jungle activities. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 12 : Bandhavgarh / Kanha
After taking breakfast and checking out of the hotel, drive to Kanha National Park. Located in the central state of Madhya Pradesh, the park covers an area of 940 sq. km. Of particular interest during your stay will be sightings of the superb gaur, the remarkably elegant blackbuck, the hard ground barasingha and the ever-present langur. About 22 species of large mammals can be spotted within the park and the bird life is equally extraordinary. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 13 : Kanha
Full day jungle safari, on elephants. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 14 : Kanha/Nagpur/Mumbai
Drive to Nagpur and transfer to Nagpur airport to connect evening flight for Mumbai. On arrival at Bombay airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15 : Mumbai
Morning drive to the harbor to visit the Elephanta Islands. It has famous cave temples, dating back to the 8th century BC, and these shrines are dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. Afternoon tour to the Mumbai city includes the Gateway of India, the Prince of Wales Museum, and some other places of attraction. In time departure to the international airport for onward flight.

Day 01 : Arrive Amritsar
Arrive at the city which literally means a pool of nectar; Amritsar! Once a small village with a sacred pond, it has grown into one of India’s fascinating cities and the centre of the Sikh culture in India. Amritsar is the soul of Punjab and has always been in the forefront as it was always religiously as well as politicaly active in Indian history. Till date it lives its legacy.

From the airport transfer to Hotel. Welcome at the Hotel, dinner and overnight’s stay at Hotel in Amritsar.

Day 02 : Amritsar
Post breakfast visit the epitome of the Sikh temples, the Golden temple. The upper half was inlaid with copper covered over by gold plate by the King of Patiala. People from far and wide come to visit this temple. The architecture of this temple is a blend of Hindu and Muslim styles. The golden dome is meant to represent an inverted lotus flower and the interior of the temple is decorated with semi precious stones, frescoes and glasswork.

Post Lunch visit the Jallianwala Bagh, the site which only brings the brutality of the British over the innocent Indians to your mind and tears in your eyes.

Lunch at Hotel. Post Lunch take a drive to the Wagah Border, the final frontier, crossing between India and Pakistan. Watch the perfect symphony and harmony from both the sides when the change of guards takes place every evening. Day 03 : Amritsar – Delhi (2014 Amritsar Shatabdi 0515/1105 hrs) – Agra
Early in the morning take the fastest train to the Capital, Delhi . Delhi, in its three thousand years of existence, has always remained the capital of India and has played a pivotal role in Indian history. The city is divided in two parts, old Delhi and New Delhi. After arrival Lunch at a restaurant in Delhi and then proceed to the erstwhile Mughal capital Agra by road. (approximately 4 hrs journey)Agra was once the majestic capital of the Mughals and has carved a niche for herself as one of the most sought after destinations in the world.

Better known as the city of the Taj Mahal, Agra, is the city of magical splendors; a city having the most magnificent monuments in India, standing testimony to its glorious past. Agra remained the seat of almost four Mughal emperors. While Babur settled here, Humayun and Akbar guarded it and Jehangir and Shahajehan beautified it.

Check in at Hotel. Evening free to visit the Handicrafts emporium of Agra. Dinner and overnight’s stay at Hotel.

Day 04 : Agra
Post breakfast leave for the most photographed building of the world, an ode to true love, the Taj Mahal. The grandeur called the Taj is perhaps the most photographed, filmed, described and sketched building of the world. Taj Mahal is where fantasy coincides with reality in perfect harmony. An inspiration for numerous artists over the centuries, the Taj is an ode to love, which no monument in the world can match. The beauty of the Taj is in its simplicity. It is rare that a person would not fall in love with the pure and simple beauty in white.

Emperor Shahajehan had built many an architectural marvels in his career, but Taj Mahal is the zenith. Taj never looks the same. The golden pink Taj at dawn turns into dazzling white at noon. Giving way to the sultry orange at sunset is the milky blue at night. Viewing the Taj on Full moon nights is a blissful experience. Later visit the Red fort of Agra. From the sight of it the magnificent structure in Red Sand Stone looks strong and invincible. The fort is built with Red Sand stone and is supposed to be the predecessor of the Red Fort of Delhi. Many buildings inside the fort were built by Shahajehan, unique among which is the stunning pearl mosque.

Day 05 : Agra – Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to the capital of Rajasthan Jaipur (05 hrs. drive) – the pink city of India. The capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink, a century ago in the honour of a visiting Prince, ever since it has retained the pink colour. En-route visit Fatehpur – Sikri (40 kms. From Agra) – once the capital of Mughal Empire and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its fortifications and Palaces are in a wonderful state of preservation. Lunch at Hotel / restaurant.
Evening free to visit the Handicraft emporiums of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight’s stay at Hotel.

Day 06 : Jaipur
After breakfast, full day sightseeing of the Pink City. Morning visit Amber Fort – remarkable for the majestic grandeur of its surroundings as for its sturdy battlements and beautiful palaces. Climb up to the fort on the back of an Elephant or by jeeps. Post lunch city tour visiting City Palace – where the former Maharaja still resides in a part of it, but rest now serves as a Museum. Also visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by a great astronomer Sawai Jai Singh onto drive past through Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds).

Day 07 : Jaipur – Delhi
After breakfast leave for Delhi (05 hrs. drive). After arrival, Lunch in a restaurant in Delhi. Post Lunch half day sightseeing of Delhi. Delhi – In three thousand years of its existence, has remained the capital of India and has played a pivotal role in Indian history. The city is divided in two parts, old Delhi and New Delhi. Drive past the President’s House, Parliament House (House of Representatives) and India Gate – War Memorial (stop for photography) and Laxmi Narayan Temple – a modern Hindu temple built by the Birlas, leading Indian industrialists.

Also visit the Raj Ghat, where soul of the great Indian leader, the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi lies in peace. Evening enjoy a spectacle of INDIAN CLASSICAL/ FOLK DANCES followed by Indian Dinner on fixed menu basis at Local Restaurant.
